Help: Getting Started
Get Started is the main self-service entry into TheRink. It helps you choose the right option, saves progress on this device for up to one week, and lets you build up a request before you create an account or submit it.
What Get Started does
- Lets you choose the service or help option that best matches what you need
- Saves progress on this device using a cookie for up to one week
- Lets you add more than one service to the same request
- Keeps payment and account creation as later steps rather than forcing them first
How saved progress works
Your request is saved against this device, not against a permanent account at first. Each time you come back, the one-week timer is extended from that visit.
If you choose Start something new, the saved request for this device is removed and you begin again from a blank first page.
If you would rather speak to someone
Get Started helps people move quickly, but it is not the only way to begin. If you would rather talk it through, you can contact Rich at TheRink directly.
For workshop-only services that do not require you to be present, you can often also drop skates at Cambridge Ice Arena and then continue the rest of the process from there.
